The lineup of Sovereignty Podcast is formed with people that came from mainland China and Taiwan.
Star-E is a grade 11 student who is born and raised in China. So he has his own personal experiences about the problems in China Sovereignty. And he is also intrigued by politics, and telling people the truth of the issues is always his passion.
Maple-K came from Guangdong, Guangzhou, which is one of the most developed cities in China. He has the perspective of a Southern Chinese which will benefit our podcast.
E was born in Vancouver, Canada, but his parents were from Taiwan, a province in China.
Alex is from Beijing, the political center of China. He came to Canada in grade 4 and now lives in Vancouver, Canada.
We all have a deep understanding of the political stance in China and have the experience of both in Canada and China. Every each of us is willing to reveal the process of the Hong Kong protest chaos and Taiwan’s problem with China. Because our group members are from many different places, we are not bias on any point of view, we will always keep a neutral perspective when podcasting events.
Our podcast
In our podcast we will talk about the sovereignty issues happening in China right now. They can be categorized into three part, which are Hong Kong, Taiwan and Tibet.
Hong Kong, as one of the two Special Administrative Region in China, one of the world’s most service-oriented economy, recently occurred a huge protest. Unlike the ones happened in the past, this time, the protesters used a variety of violence. Such as throwing gas bomb, attacking innocent citizens and destroying public facilities. Why is this happening?……

Taiwan has a more complicated situation. Chinese government consider that it has always been a part our China sovereignty. But more and more countries from all over the world think Taiwan is an independent country. On January 11th, 2020, Tsai Ing-wen had been reelected as the president of Republic of China, who is considered to be a big threat to Chinese government…….

Tibet is a province in China, but it is a bit different from other province, because it has a strong religious background of the Buddhism. Since liberation of Tibet in 1951, there have been a lot violent attack in Tibet commanded by the Dalai clique, who insists the independence of Tibet. How can this threaten the China Sovereignty?…..
